Supporting the transition from Second Nature To Home
Therapeutic Family Intensives for Long-Term Success

“The journey doesn’t end when they leave the woods — it begins again, in a new way, at home. Transition is where the real integration happens, where families learn to meet each other again with openness, courage, and care.”

We partner with Second Nature to provide psychodrama intensives, designed to support families during the pivotal transition from wilderness therapy back into daily life. These intensives offer a structured yet deeply experiential space where families can process what’s unfolded, reconnect in new ways, and begin to rebuild trust and communication. Using psychodrama and other action-based methods, we help bring unspoken dynamics to the surface, allowing each family member to feel seen, heard, and understood. This work supports integration — not just for the student, but for the entire family system — offering a foundation for continued healing, growth, and connection after Second Nature.
Why This Transition Matters
The return from wilderness therapy is a powerful moment — filled with both hope and uncertainty. Without structured support, the gains made in the wilderness can erode quickly. A family intensive creates the bridge between therapeutic growth and real-world integration.
These intensives offer your family the space and guidance to:
Re-establish trust and connection
Strengthen healthy communication
Practice boundaries and routines that support recovery
Our goal is to help you carry progress forward — not start over.
What Happens In A Family Intensive
Your intensive will be personalized to your family’s story and needs. Led by experienced clinicians using psychodrama and family systems work, we engage every member of the family in active, healing dialogue.
Typical elements include:
Facilitated family therapy sessions
Role plays and conflict resolution practice
Creating “home agreements” (family structure for reintegration)
Real-time coaching around communication, coping, and tech use
The Power of A Home Agreement
Home agreements are collaborative frameworks that support stability and mutual respect. They’re not rules — they’re relational tools that outline what safety, accountability, and connection look like in your home.
We’ll help your family co-create a clear plan for:
Daily structure
Screen time and digital boundaries
Chores and responsibilities
Repair and reconnection after rupture
These agreements aren’t theoretical — they’re practiced and rehearsed in-session, so you leave ready to implement.
